WIC
WIC (Women, Infants, & Children) is a supplemental nutrition program for babies, children under the age of 5, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and women who have had a baby in the last 6 months. WIC helps families by providing healthy foods, nutrition education, and referrals to other health care.

Family Planning
NICAO family planning clinics offer quality, confidential health care. Medical services are provided by nurse practitioners trained in family planning health care. Educational programs offered respond to local community needs. Costs for service at NICAO's family planning clinics are based on ability to pay, and are often less than at other health centers. Services are free for people enrolled in Medicaid and those whose income is below the federal poverty guidelines, but there is no income limit for those choosing to access family planning services.
Maternal/Child Health
The Maternal and Child Health program includes a variety of services focused on promoting healthy children, healthy families, and healthy communities by promoting early prenatal care that will continue throughout pregnancy and through childhood, focusing on any special needs identified.

This dental health program is offered as part of our Maternal/Child Health
Program.
Child Care Nurse Consultant
Our Child Care Nurse Consultant assists area daycare centers and in-home
providers with health and safety related services to promote quality childcare in
Iowa.
EPSDT
The Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) Program is
a required component of Medicaid and is designed to improve the health of low-
income children. EPSDT works with public health, families, managed care
organizations , pediatricians, dentists, and other health providers to coordinate
care.
Living With HIV
The Living with HIV Program provides FREE support and information services to individuals diagnosed with HIV or AIDS, or those needing general information about HIV/AIDS. Consultations are confidential and vary depending on the needs of the individual.
Case Management services include:
*locating infectious disease specialists and investigating health insurance and prescription assistance options
*Empowering families to take a proactive stance against HIV/AIDS by stressing the importance of medicine regimens, regular doctor visits, and safe sex practices
*Referrals to substance abuse and mental health programs, dental visits, emergency financial assistance resources, and food pantries.
*Transportation assistance to medical appointments
