Bank of America provides grant to North Iowa Community Action Organization

Mason City, IA – Bank of America announces that North Iowa Community Action Organization (NICAO) is the recipient of a technical assistance grant that will provide general operating support as well as enable the expansion of critical needs programs to area residents.

“Bank of America has a long history of providing meaningful and impactful assistance to communities – even during challenging economic times such as these – because we know that leadership is even more critical to help area non profits,” said Tammy Fuller, banking center manager, Bank of America. “We are responsive to the needs of area residents and are proud to support non profit organizations right in the heart of Mason City neighborhoods,” added Sean Brown, Iowa consumer market manager, Bank of America.

“We are extremely grateful to receive this donation from Bank of America which enables us to continue to provide much needed services to the members of our community,” said Richard Goerdt, Executive Director of NICAO.

The organization provides access to opportunities for income management and financial literacy skills for low income families and collaborates with other providers to improve lives. Ensuring that the poor have a voice, they also demonstrate the diversity of the community within the organization by including low - income people, local elected officials and business and community representatives on the Board of Directors and Head Start Policy Council.
